Sat., Feb. 2. Cafeteria at Albany HS, 600 Washington Ave., Parking available through Main St. entrance.  King, Queen, Rook and special Open USCF rated sections (See details below) .  Non-member sections are Awe (Adults), kNight (6-12), Bishop (3-5) and Pawn (K-2) Non-USCF sections.

An Open Section, USCF rated G/61;d5,  has been added to the January 12 and February 2 tournaments (if there is enough interest) at Albany High School.  (Note: NYS Scholastic Championships in Saratoga Springs Feb 23-24, 2013, G/61;d5. 6SS. Online  entry fee at chessaction.com, all sections:$40 by  2/2, $50 by 2/19, $60 2/20 to 2 hours before first game.)  All players in this Open section must be current members of the USCF of any age, but higher ratings are preferred… Games will be at 9:00, 11:30, and 2:00 in the separate room provided for this section.  Trophy award to First, Second, Third and Top Player Under 1600. EF: FREE.  Players must pre-register on-line (www.maketherightmove.org) or by 9:00 at the door for this section, which begins at 9:00.
